Day 01: Arrival At Bhubaneswar
On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport/railway station met by our representative & transfer to hotel. Later if time permit half day sightseeing of Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain caves. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Day 02: Bhubaneswar
Morning visit to famous city temples including Lingaraj, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar (known as the ‘gem of Orissan architecture’) & Rajarani temple. After lunch visit to Nandankanan Zoo (closed on Monday). This Zoo is famous for its white tiger safari. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Day 03: Excursion To Diamond Triangle
After breakfast drive to the diamond triangle of Orissa – Ratnagiri (has a rich concentration of Buddhist antiquities), Lalitgiri (oldest Buddhist Tantric center of Orissa) & Udayagiri (largest Buddhist complexes in Odisha). Return back to Bhubaneswar. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Day 04: Bhubaneswar – Dhauli – Hirapur – Pipli – Puri
Morning after breakfast drive to Puri enroute visit Dhauli (the peace pagoda), Hirapur 64 yogini temple & Pipli (the appliqué work village). On arrival check in to the hotel. Rest time relax on the golden beach of Puri. Overnight at Puri.
Day 05 : Puri – Konark – Puri
Morning visit to Jagannath temple (non hindus are not allowed). Then drive to Konark to visit the Sun temple. Enroute visit to Ramchandi & Chandrabhaga beach. Back to Puri & Overnight.
Day 06: Puri – Chilika (Satapada) – Puri
Morning drive to Chilika lake at Satpada and take the boat cruise to visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins, sea mouth & Red crabs. Back to Puri. Evening visit to beach market. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07: Puri – Bhubaneswar
After breakfast proceed to Bhubaneswar for departure transfer to Airport / Railway station to onward journey.
Bhubaneswar is the capital of the Indian state of Odisha. It is the largest city in Odisha and is a centre of economic and religious importance in Eastern India. Temples Rajarani, Mukteswar, Brahmeswar, Parsurameswar & Lingaraj. Tribal Museum, Sudarshan craft village, Ekamra Haat, Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain caves and Diamond Triangle.
Puri also known as Sri Jagannath Dham after the 12th-century Jagannath Temple located in the city. It is one of the original Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus. Konark Sun temple.
Chilika lake is a brackish water lagoon, spread over the Puri, Khurda and Ganjam districts of Odisha state on the east coast of India, at the mouth of the Daya River, flowing into the Bay of Bengal, covering an area of over 1,100 km2. It is the largest coastal lagoon in India and the second largest coastal lagoon in the world after The New Caledonia barrier reef in New Caledonia. It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds on the Indian subcontinent. The lake is home to a number of threatened species of plants and animals. The lake is an ecosystem with large fishery resources. The lagoon hosts over 160 species of birds in the peak migratory season. Birds from as far as the Caspian Sea, Lake Baikal, Aral Sea and other remote parts of Russia, Kirghiz steppes of Mongolia, Central and southeast Asia, Ladakh and Himalayas come here. These birds travel great distances; migratory birds probably follow much longer routes than the straight lines to reach Chilika Lake.
